Artist in the Classroom Program
Grade 5 - Andy Warhol Project

Students will use foam pieces to create block style prints. Using
varied line to convey the illusion of texture, they will also explore
the use of positive and negative space.  Complimentary colours
with pencil crayons will be used to enhance the black colored
print.  Andy Warhol’s work will be used to emphasize these design
principles.

Curriculum Requirements

multiple copies of the initial image.  On a sheet of 12x 18 white

each be coloured differently with cloured pencil.

Class participation will be encouraged when discussing the element
